G9 Halogen Lampholder with Plastic Cap 10mm Entry 5996088
This G9 halogen lampholder with cap is perfect for replacing old cracked and heat damaged lampholders in existing lights.
The main issue with G9 halogens is the heat they produce for a small lamp, this in turn over the year will make the plastic parts on your lights brittle and could crack when changing light bulbs etc.
We always recommend in using LED lamps with these as they produce next to no heat, giving you a peace of mind knowing the lampholder will not go brittle after several years.
Comes in 2 parts the ceramic insert that clips into the plastic holder with has a standard 10mm lighting thread so can simply screw onto a 10mm threaded rod or backplate.
The ceramic insert has push wire terminals meaning you MUST have a solid end to the wire this can be achieved via a dab of solder or the use of ferrules, multi stranded cable will not securely hold into the push wire terminals.
The plastic cap is threaded so you can simply screw on a shade ring - this lampholder uses the E14 shade rings i.e SKU: PLU21609 for example and NOT the G9 shade rings as this cap is larger.
